The automatic felt-cutting machine leverages high-precision CNC cutting, fully automated material feeding and winding, real-time blade maintenance, and multi-material adaptability as its core advantages, significantly outperforming manual equipment. The automatic felting cutter is an intelligent slitting machine specifically designed for fiber-reinforced materials, such as glass-fiber needle-punched felts, multiaxial fabrics, and nonwovens, and is widely used in composite materials, building materials, environmental filtration, and other fields. Compared with manual felting cutters, its core upgrade lies in replacing manual intervention with automation, covering the entire closed-loop process—from unwinding and tension control to precise cutting, rewinding, and waste-edge handling.
Structural and Functional Characteristics
● Modular motion system: Featuring a dual-axis linkage design— the traversing carriage moves parallel to the main axis of the felt roll for segmented positioning, while the cutting carriage feeds in the vertical direction, ensuring that the saw blade always enters the material at a right angle. This enhances cross-section flatness and repeatable positioning accuracy.
● Intelligent Tension Control and Web Alignment: Equipped with a magnetic powder brake unwind shaft and a pneumatic web tensioning device to maintain constant tension; combined with a high-precision correction system and an automatic anti-deviation mechanism to effectively address issues such as felt slippage or uneven web thickness.
● Long-lasting tool management: Integrated double-sided diamond blade polishing system supports on-line sharpening, ensuring consistent sharpness without disassembly; some models are also equipped with an automatic tape-wrapping mechanism for immediate edge sealing after cutting, reducing burrs and flash.
● Wide and flexible adjustment: Supports digital display of cutting width, with saw-blade or circular-disc configurations that allow arbitrary adjustment of the cutting size (ranging from 18 to 1,600 mm), accommodating various felt material specifications.

● Employing a combined control system consisting of a PLC, variable-frequency motor, and servo drive to achieve gapless coordinate positioning and cutting with an accuracy of ±0.1 mm7;
