Polyurethane pultrusion equipment is a critical piece of machinery for manufacturing polyurethane/glass-fiber composite profiles, characterized by high precision, high efficiency, strong adaptability, and intelligent control.
Core Equipment Composition and Functional Features
● Two-component injection molding system: Polyurethane is a two-component system (polyol + polyisocyanate), requiring high-precision metering pumps to ensure accurate mixing ratios and uniform blending, thereby meeting the demands of high-speed pultrusion.
● Dedicated injection box/impregnation system: Due to the rapid reaction and short gelation time of polyurethane, a custom-designed injection box is required to ensure fast and thorough impregnation, thereby preventing mold blockage or glue leakage.
● Pultrusion main machine: can be crawler-type or hydraulic-type;
● Crawler-type systems are suitable for continuous, smooth traction, while hydraulic systems—particularly those with servo closed-loop control—can achieve stepless speed regulation and high pulling force output.
● Temperature control system: multi-zone (e.g., six-zone) independent temperature control with high precision, ensuring uniform curing of the resin within the mold.
● Traction and Cutting Unit: Stepless speed regulation for traction, pneumatic or servo-controlled cutting, supporting continuous production.
Process Adaptability Advantages
● High compatibility: Can be retrofitted on existing polyester/epoxy pultrusion equipment with only the injection and impregnation systems needing replacement, resulting in low capital investment.
● Supports high fiber content: Fiber volume fraction can reach 80%, significantly enhancing the strength and stiffness of the finished product.
● Compatible with a wide range of resin systems: not only polyurethanes, but also thermosetting resins such as epoxies and phenolics.
