Hydraulic FRP Pultrusion Equipment Supports Efficient Production of Wide-Width FRP Profiles

22 Sep,2026

Customized Hydraulic FRP Pultrusion Equipment spots offer efficient production, stable performance, and reliable composite solutions

With the increasing demand for large-size composite materials in construction, transportation, industrial equipment, and infrastructure applications, manufacturers require production equipment that can provide stable traction, accurate control, and continuous operation. The Hydraulic FRP Pultrusion Equipment developed for wide-width FRP profile production integrates hydraulic traction technology, PLC control, automatic cutting, and temperature management systems to support reliable pultrusion processing.

The Wide-Width FRP Pultrusion Equipment is designed for producing FRP profiles with larger widths while maintaining consistent production quality. Its advanced control system, adjustable traction parameters, and efficient cooling design help improve operational stability and simplify daily production management.

PLC Control System for Flexible Operation

The Wide-Width FRP Pultrusion Equipment adopts a PLC-based electrical control system, providing both automatic and manual traction control modes. This logic control design offers mature technology and convenient operation, allowing operators to adjust production processes according to different manufacturing requirements.

The control system manages key equipment functions, including traction movement, heating control, cutting operations, and fault monitoring. A built-in fault alarm system helps identify abnormal conditions during operation, improving production safety and equipment management efficiency.

Stable Hydraulic Traction and Clamping Performance

The equipment uses an upper clamping structure to provide stable holding force during the pultrusion process. The traction force can be adjusted from 10 to 30 tons, while the clamping force is adjustable from ≤5 to 30 tons, allowing the production line to adapt to different FRP profile requirements.

The traction speed range is adjustable from 50 to 1500 mm/min, with a reciprocating traction stroke of at least 600 mm. The clamping stroke reaches ≥100 mm, ensuring smooth movement and reliable material pulling performance during continuous production.

The mold rack platform has a length of 900 mm, and the mold clamping mechanism adopts a screw-type clamping design. This structure helps maintain stable mold positioning and supports consistent profile forming.

Precision Heating and Cooling Management

Temperature control plays an important role in FRP pultrusion production. The heating zone of this equipment uses contactor-based heating technology, keeping temperature fluctuations within ±5°C. The heating temperature can be continuously adjusted from 0 to 300°C.

The system supports independent power control for each heating zone. Depending on production requirements, the equipment can be configured with 3 to 6 heating zones, with each zone providing 6 kW of power. This design enables more accurate temperature adjustment throughout the forming process.

To maintain hydraulic system performance, the equipment is equipped with a hydraulic oil cooling system. The cooler provides rapid cooling through water cooling technology, helping reduce hydraulic oil temperature while offering maintenance-free operation advantages.

The fuel tank cooling water requires a temperature of 0–15°C and a flow rate of no less than 100 liters per hour to ensure effective cooling performance.

Automatic Cutting and Production Efficiency

The cutting saw system adopts variable-frequency speed control technology for fixed-length cutting. This allows the equipment to achieve more accurate cutting operations according to preset production requirements.

The automatic cutting system requires an operating air pressure of 0.4–0.8 MPa. Combined with the PLC control system, the cutting process can be coordinated with the production line to improve workflow efficiency.

The entire production line has an installation length of nearly 30,000 mm, providing sufficient space for continuous FRP profile manufacturing. The standard external dimensions of the main equipment are 9,000 mm in length, 1,200 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height.

Energy Requirements and Industrial Application

The Wide-Width FRP Pultrusion Equipment requires a total plant power supply of 10–12 kVA at 380 V. Its industrial design combines mechanical stability, hydraulic control, electrical automation, and temperature management into one complete production solution.

With adjustable traction force, reliable clamping performance, and automatic operation functions, this equipment is suitable for manufacturers producing wide-width FRP profiles that require consistent quality and efficient production processes.

Conclusion

The Wide-Width FRP Pultrusion Equipment provides a practical solution for modern FRP profile manufacturing. Through PLC logic control, hydraulic traction technology, precision heating management, and automatic cutting functions, the equipment helps manufacturers achieve stable and continuous pultrusion production.

Its adjustable parameters, integrated cooling system, and mature electrical control technology make it suitable for industrial production environments where reliability, operational convenience, and consistent product quality are important.
